Windows & Wooden doors
If you choose pine windows and doors from UnikFunkis, you can be sure that all weathered areas in the individual elements have a high proportion of heartwood. The advantages of heartwood are that it absorbs far less moisture than sapwood and it has undergone a natural “self-impregnation” and therefore has a longer lifespan. By removing knots and finger joints, the wood provides an optimal base for surface treatment.
To protect the wood from degradation, UnikFunkis uses an environmentally friendly primer and surface treatment. This fully complies with the applicable requirements of the technical regulations of the Danish Window Industry, which in Denmark is the generally recognized basis for the manufacture of windows and external doors.
Glazing beads are usually supplied in powder-coated aluminum, matching the color of the wood. In some cases, glazing beads can be supplied as painted wood moldings with hidden nails.

Windows & Doors in wood/aluminum
Combining wood and aluminum for window and door profiles offers several advantages. On the inside, the windows and doors look like traditional wooden solutions. On the outside, the elements from UnikFunkis also look like traditional wooden windows and doors. However, the exterior surfaces of the frames and sashes are fitted with aluminum profiles.
The aluminum profiles provide effective protection for the underlying wood material, which is primed and surface treated like other wooden elements from UnikFunkis. At the same time, they have the great advantage that they do not require maintenance, but only cleaning, e.g. when windows are cleaned anyway.
The aluminum profiles have a powder-coated surface and are available in nine standard colors. Special colors are available upon request at an additional cost. In addition, this solution can be delivered with special sound windows.
Colors
UnikFunki standard colors
Pine windows and doors are primed with Aqua Primer against rot and fungus and Aquatop opaque paint. We can also offer a laser paint system on request.
Wood/aluminium windows and doors can be supplied 2-colored at no extra cost. Wood/aluminum windows and doors are delivered with powder-coated aluminum exteriors and wood interiors with the same treatment as wooden windows.
In addition to the standard colors shown, other colors can also be offered at an additional cost. We reserve the right to deviations in the colors shown.

GLASS TYPES
Our products are fitted with low-energy glazing with a warm edge as standard. In addition, we can supply many different types of glazing constructions such as 3-layer energy glass, solar control glass, ornamental glass, enamel glass, sound-reducing glass, safety glass against personal injury and safety glass against burglary.
